People do good things, not only for social good but also to look good in the eyes of others. We found that reputation concerns can amplify behavioral hypocrisy when people present themselves as having good moral character. [completed]

AI as a moral agent may influence responsibility attribution when people transgress together with AI. We found that people attribute more moral responsibility to AI when they judge misdeeds of their own (vs. others). [completed]

People learn to behave properly and in a socially desirable way. How would interactions with AI chatbots in everyday life influence these evolved heuristics? [ongoing]
